Palestine: Hamas Erects Memorials to Mark Strikes at Israel

For several months Hamas has paid tribute to its fighters by erecting memorials in several of the main squares in Gaza City. In March of 2014 the Izz Al-Din Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, unveiled a rocket-shaped statue at the al-Jalaa square. In another part of the city, the Commandos Memorial went up in August, 2015, after a hand-shaped memorial had been erected by the Brigades last July. Each memorial marks a particular strike or penetration into Israeli territory, underscoring the ability of the Palestinians to do battle with the enemy Noor Harazeen reports from Gaza for teleSUR.
