Using the newly released clean audio version of the extended Steven Universe theme song (We Are the Crystal Gems) from Aivi and Surasshu, I was able to *mostly* remove the vocals from the song. (The vocals are excellent of course, but you know, background music.) The quality is not as good as most of my FiM rips, and theres some weird compressed-sounding parts, because I had to use a different method to remove the vocals since only a stereo track was available. Unfortunately, the show is not mixed in 5.1 surround like MLP.\r

There is quite a bit of compression artificating and muffled/garbled voices audible especially in the latter part of the song. Its basically impossible to completely remove vocals from a compressed stereo track, unfortunately. I hope this is good enough quality for people to record covers etc. though! (I tried and tried but this is the best I could get it.) I do wish Steven Universe was mixed in 5.1 surround, but unfortunately it is mastered in 2.0 stereo. Luckily though, Aivi and Surasshu post a ton of the BGM to their soundcloud so go take a listen!\r

And finally, apparently there is some animosity between the SU and MLP fandoms? I was kinda shocked to hear about that (well not really, this *IS* the internet after all). But anyways I think fighting over that is kinda dumb. I think SU and MLP are both fantastic cartoons, in many ways that are different but some that are the same. But if for some reason you hate SU, dont worry, Im not turning this channel into an All Steven Universe, All the Time channel or anything. I just enjoyed this extended theme song and wanted to hear it without vocals.
