Dad Notices Son’s Face Looks Strange, Then Googles His Characteristics And Runs To Wife Gasping
Jackie and Olin Arnold were so excited to welcome their firstborn child into the world. Everything was going smoothly at home with their newborn son Logan… until the Georgia couple agreed they couldn’t shake the feeling something just wasn’t right.

First off, baby Logan looked much different than most babies. With his elongated face, wide-set eyes and upturned earlobes, Logan resembled “an old man.” He also had a particularly happy and sunny disposition.

Then, at just 10 days old, Logan stopped eating. He wasn’t meeting his infant milestones and needed emergency surgery, but doctors were completely perplexed as to what was causing his symptoms.

That’s when Olin took the reins and went on a Google search. On a quest for answers, the worried father realized his son’s characteristics matched up with three genetic syndromes.

Olin searched for photos of children with each genetic syndrome and stopped dead in his tracks when he found a picture of a little girl in Ireland: she looked like she could be Logan’s identical twin sister.

Olin immediately grabbed Jackie and showed her the photo. They couldn’t deny the resemblance between Logan and the girl — but if he had the same diagnosis as her, that meant Logan was born with a genetic syndrome so rare that most doctors had never heard of or treated it before.
