South Korea can still achieve 3% growth rate target for 2018: Finance Minister

The government has no plans to revise its target of three-percent growth for the year.
That's according to the nation's finance chief who revealed during an interview with a local radio station... that first quarter growth was above one-percent... and although on-year export growth fell in April, it picked up this month.
Kim Dong-yeon added... qualitative growth and fair wealth distribution are more important than numerical expansion,... highlighting sectors other than semiconductors should contribute to economic growth.
The minister also vowed to devise measures focused on raising the competitiveness of struggling industries that were once the pillar of the local economy... such as automobile, shipbuilding and shipping.
