Hundreds of mosquitoes hover above trees like eerie, thin plumes of smoke in this video filmed in central China. The video, captured in Wuhan City in Hubei Province on June 24, shows swarms of mosquitoes flying over the tops of trees, resembling black smoke rising into the air. Local media said that the insects had been resting in shade during the daytime because of the high temperatures and took flight during the evening as the temperatures cooled. The phenomenon lasted for 30 minutes, according to reports.
