Seoul's foreign minister met with top diplomats from across the globe,... including North Korea's official head of state, Kim Yong-nam... while in Mexico over the weekend,
Kang Kyung-wha was attending the inauguration of Mexico's new president,... Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador.
According to Seoul's foreign ministry, the meeting was not planned,... and the two officials naturally engaged in dialogue at the event in a positive atmosphere.
Minister Kang told Kim.... that she hopes the North Korean leader's visit to Seoul happens soon... to further strengthen the peace process on the Peninsula.
Kim replied by saying the two Koreas should continue working together... so that their ties can stay positive.
