Sathuranga Vettai is a like a game of chess. The protagonist, an anti hero, Natraj alias Natty Indian Cinematographer turned actor, awes the audience with his excellent schemes to swindle and usurp money but not from the poor. He even teaches the science of stealing. The movie is split into chapters with each type of stealing as a short story. Bubbly heroine Ishara Nair joins him as an innocent village belle but later learns the nuances in practical life.
