The World Anti-Doping Agency has declared North Korea 'non-compliant' with its code... announcing the decision in a statement on its website on Wednesday.
North Korea's non-compliant status could limit opportunities for the North's athletes to participate in international sporting events.
Last September,... the World Anti-Doping Agency said it would declare North Korea non-compliant if the regime did not resolve problems in the implementation of its testing program within four months.
But the deadline passed in January without any action from North Korea.
The World Anti-Doping Agency added that it has been notified by the International Olympic Committee that this issue will be discussed at the IOC's meeting with the two Koreas at its headquarters in Switzerland on Friday.
