Colin Kaepernick Was in Negotiations to Join the Rebooted XFL League 'Sporting News' reports that Kaepernick wanted $20 million. It is the same price he wanted from the new Alliance of American Football league as well. With the XFL looking to pay its QBs a fraction of $20 million, talks fell through. XFL CEO Vince McMahon has also stated that players will not be allowed to take a knee during the national anthem. Kaepernick has not played in an NFL game since the end of the 2016 season. He recently settled a collusion lawsuit with the league after claiming teams purposely avoided signing him,
