The Supreme Court has disposed of the petition filed by an NGO against K G Balakrishnan, the former Chief Justice of India. The case pertained to alleged misconduct by KG Balakrishnan during his tenure in the Supreme Court. The SC has now directed the Govt to probe the allegations and has refused to direct Centre for Presidential Reference. The onus now lies with the Govt.
