Tappa che si snoda nell’interno della Sicilia con finale misto tra salita e discesa. É una tappa mossa altimetricamente e caratterizzata da un ininterrotto susseguirsi di curve per i primi 120 km. Si percorrono strade con carreggiata di larghezza variabile e con fondo a volte usurato. Gli attraversamenti cittadini possono presentare tratti in pavé di varia foggia. Giunti a Vittoria, dove la strada spiana per alcune decine di km, si attraversano gli abitati di Vittoria e Comiso per affrontare la salita di Serra di Burgio che porta direttamente dopo una veloce discesa a Ragusa per il finale articolato nel centro cittadino.
This stage runs in the internal part of Sicily with a mixed finale of climbs and descents. It’s a challenging stage with continuous up and downs and an uninterrupted series of curves for the first 120km. The roads have variable widths, with some sections in towns and villages that are cobbled. Once in Vittoria, where the stage flattens for a short distance, the course runs through the towns of Vittoria and Comiso to then face the climb of Serra di Burgio that will lead, after a fast descent, straight to Ragusa for the finale in the city centre.
