With the government's temporary fuel tax reduction period ending Saturday, gasoline prices in South Korea rose Sunday,... with prices in Seoul increasing the most.
According to the state-run oil corporation, gas prices in Seoul were roughly one-point-three U.S. dollars per liter, with the average gas price across the country at one-point-two dollars.
The prices for diesel and LPG also rose.
The government cut fuel tax by fifteen percent from November to May, and again from May to August by a reduced margin, to help the public cope with the increase in global oil prices.
