ಉಪಚುನಾವಣೆಗೆ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧಿಸಬಹುದು ಎಂಬ ಸುಪ್ರೀಂ ಕೋರ್ಟ್ ಆದೇಶ ಕೇಳಿ ನಿರಾಳರಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಅನರ್ಹ ಶಾಸಕರಿಗೆ ಸರ್ವೋಚ್ಚ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯದ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಆದೇಶ ಆಘಾತವನ್ನುಂಟು ಮಾಡಿದೆ. ಮಂತ್ರಿ ಸ್ಥಾನದ ಬೇಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಮುಂದಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡೇ ಮೈತ್ರಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಬಂಡಾಯವೆದ್ದಿದ್ದ ಶಾಸಕರಿಗೆ ಇದೀಗ ಚುನಾವಣೆಗೆ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೇನೋ ಸುಪ್ರೀಂ ಕೋರ್ಟ್ ಅವಕಾಶ ನೀಡಿದೆ.

The Supreme Court on Wednesday upheld the disqualification of the 17 Karnataka MLAs on the orders of the then Assembly Speaker KR Ramesh Kumar but allowed their plea to contest the by-election to be held on December 5 for the seats that fell vacant in July.
