A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) passenger plane crashed on Friday near Jinnah International Airport. The plane was going from Lahore to Karachi. The aircraft crashed into the residential town Model Town before landing, 97 people have been confirmed dead so far in the accident. According to Pakistan's premier media institute Dawn, the pilot had reported an air traffic control aircraft malfunction. In response to this, the pilot was asked to rotate the plane and land on behalf of air traffic control. Both runways were available to land the aircraft, but suddenly the pilot started saying MayDay, MayDay, MayDay and the aircraft crashed into Model Town.

पाकिस्तान इंटरनेशनल एयरलाइंस (पीआईए) का एक यात्री विमान शुक्रवार को जिन्ना अंतरराष्ट्रीय हवाईअड्डे के पास दुर्घटनाग्रस्त हो गया. विमान लाहौर से कराची जा रहा था. लैंडिंग से पहले विमान रिहायशी इलाके मॉडल टाउन में जा गिरा, हादसे में अब तक 97 लोगों की मौत की पुष्टि हो गई है..पाकिस्तान के प्रमुख मीडिया संस्थान Dawn के मुताबिक, पायलट ने एयर ट्रैफिक कंट्रोल से विमान में खराबी की बात कही थी. जिसके जवाब में एयर ट्रैफिक कंट्रोल की तरफ से पायलट को विमान घुमाकर लैंड करने को कहा गया. विमान को लैंड कराने के लिए दोनों रनवे उपलब्ध थे, लेकिन अचानक पायलट MayDay, MayDay, MayDay कहने लगा और विमान मॉडल टाउन में जाकर क्रैश हो गया.
