South Korea reported 63 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday ...due to cluster infections in the capital and a continued rise in imported cases.
Of the new cases, 29 were transmitted locally.
Sixteen in Seoul, eight in Gyeonggi-do Province and four in Incheon.
Thirty-four were imported.
Nineteen of those detected at quarantine checkpoints at points of entry.
Total cases now: thirteen-thousand-eight-hundred-79.
There was one additional death, ...raising the death toll to two-hundred-97.
Meanwhile, ...the government is set to lift its ban on small church gatherings from 6 p.m. Friday ...as clusters linked to churches have waned.
However, local governments remain entitled to issue their own administrative orders, if necessary.
