The rains are a result of a Western Disturbance passing over the Himalayas, an IMD official said, adding that the temperature is expected to drop by two to three degrees by Monday with the wind direction changing to northwesterly, it said."Thunderstorm and light intensity rain" occurred over south, north, central, east, northeast, and southwest Delhi.

दिल्ली समेत पूरे उत्तर भारत में मौसम ने मिजाज बदल लिया है. कई राज्यों में झमाझम बारिश हुई... जबकि नोएडा, गाजियाबाद में भी बिन मौसम बरसात हुई. जम्मू कश्मीर में भी बर्फ और बारिश का दौर जारी है. जिसके कारण देश के ज्यादातर हिस्सों में ठंड पड़ने लगी है। ऊंचे पहाड़ी वाली जगहों पर पिछले कुछ घंटों में बर्फबारी और बारिश का सिलसिला जारी है. इसके साथ ही मैदानी इलाकों में तापमान नीचे गिरा है और कहीं-कहीं घना कोहरा देखने को मिल रहा है.
