Lyricist and film writer Javed Akhtar on Friday said it was a matter of shame that the "so-called civilised and democratic countries" were willing to shake hands with the Taliban. “The spokesperson of Taliban has told the world that women are not meant to be ministers but to stay at home and bear children but the so-called civilised and democratic countries of the world are willing to shake Talibani hand.
