Anant Chaturdashi is celebrated on Chaturdashi of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada. Anant Chaturdashi is also known as Anant Chaurdas. In this fast, the eternal form of Lord Vishnu is worshiped. अनंत चतुर्दशी का व्रत रख कर तथा भगवान विष्णु के पूजन के साथ इस व्रत का उद्यापन किया जाता है। उद्यापन करने पर घरों में विशेष हवन किया जाता है। और कई मांगलिक कार्य भी होते हैं। मान्यता है कि अनंत चतुर्दशी व्रत महिला व पुरूष दोंनों कर सकते हैं, लेकिन पुरूषों के लिए यह अनिवार्य है। उद्यापन करने वाली महिला व पुरूष के यहां चौदह व्रत धारी को भोजन कराया जाता है।
