Last September, a 19-year-old #Dalit woman was gangraped in Uttar Pradesh's #Hathras. She later succumbed to her injuries, and four Thakur men were charged with her #gangrape and murder.

Today, the woman's brother was cross-questioned in court for the first time. The questioning lasted for close to five hours, and the next hearing will take place on September 9. As the case continues to drag on, Newslaundry's Nidhi Suresh and Parikshit Sanyal explain what happened in court today.
