Shocking footage shows a group of ten people sliding and skating on a frozen lake - just days after four boys died after falling into through ice. The terrifying video shows a group of adults and children taking selfies, kicking a football and skating on the frozen lake at Sefton Park in Liverpool. Onlookers tried to warn the group, but were reportedly hit with abuse from the skaters saying that they are 'old enough to make our own decisions.' The video was captured on December 14 - just three days after four boys tragically passed away after they fell into an icy lake. Brothers Finlay Butler, eight, and Samuel, six, died alongside their cousin Thomas Stewart, 11, after the tragic incident in Solihull, West Mids,. Jack Johnson, ten, also died in hospital after the accident. Nick Robinson, 49, captured the video of the group and said he was 'astounded' that they were 'risking their lives.' He said: "All I could think is there's no way these people have not seen the story about those little boys in Solihull and I was astounded. "One woman went on the ice, and then like lemons, the rest of them followed until there were ten of them on the ice. "A woman who was jogging past shouted at them to get off the ice, but they didn't listen. "They were on the ice for between 15 and 20 minutes and then two wardens came and shouted at them to get off the ice. "They all started shouting abuse and one of the women, who was in her late 20s to early 30s screamed 'who do you think you're talking to, we're old enough to make our own decisions'. "The wardens gave them a telling off and then they eventually came off the ice but the abuse continued. "At one point they were getting really close to the darker section of the ice, where it's thinner." Social media users have branded the 'revolting' group 'stupid' and have said they 'need a reality check.' Lilian Arnold said: "It's always a case of 'won't happen to me', how stupid can you be? "Another tragedy waiting to happen." Helen Lloyd said: "Unbelievable after what has happened to these babies and they fell into a lake, it was an accident. "These adults are revolving and need a reality check." Liverpool City Council have been contacted for a comment.
