Tappa divisa in due parti. La prima parte piuttosto articolata in saliscendi e numerose curve nell’entroterra trapanese e nella Valle del Belice. Seconda parte quasi interamente su strade a scorrimento veloce e senza veri attraversamenti di centri urbani. Lasciata Marsala si procede per saliscendi attraverso Castelvetrano, Santa Ninfa e Partanna fino a entrare nella strada a scorrimento veloce che, lungo la costa e con alcuni saliscendi con pendenze moderate, porta a 4 km dall’arrivo all’ingresso della Valle dei Templi ai piedi di Agrigento.

The stage is divided into two parts: the first one, through the hinterland around Trapani and the Valle del Belice, is intricate, wavy and rolling. The second part is mostly on fast roads, with no urban areas along the route. Past Marsala, the course undulates through Castelvetrano, Santa Ninfa and Partanna, and then takes the trunk road that will lead the peloton through some mild undulations to the Valley of the Temples, just outside Agrigento, 4 km before the finish.
