These alternative Falla Commissions or alternative places of celebrations have been growing over the years in Valencia for Fallas. Overall, I'd say Fallas commissions are opening up more and are more inclusive. And there is no doubt that Mike and I will join a Fallas Commission in the next few years. With from over 300 to choose from we have to pick the right one for us.

That said, the Centre del Carmen set up a hub of one of the alternative Fallas. With unique events in a beautiful setting and cool people. We even got to see David de Limón create one of his Ninja pieces and Disneylexya do his beautiful street art.

But the highlight was clearly when they started this beer bottle mascleta - blocks of wood falling onto bottle openers to pop them open. We stuck around to see if they maybe hand out the open bottles to onlooker. They didn't :(
