Sean Bailey Steps Down as President of Disney Motion Picture Productions as the Entertainment Titan Faces Activist Investor Pressure

Sean Bailey is stepping down as president of Walt Disney Motion Picture Productions after over 15 years. He oversaw successful live-action remakes that earned an estimated $7 billion globally. However, recent films like Haunted Mansion and Jungle Cruise underperformed. David Greenbaum, head of Disney's Searchlight Pictures, will replace Bailey as president of Disney Live Action and 20th Century Studios. Greenbaum was involved in Poor Things which received 11 Oscar nominations. The leadership shakeup comes as Disney faces pressure from investor Nelson Peltz to improve performance.
