The good old days before the Ghostown started in a Scottish ghost town back in 97 as Rael / Dr Raelskinnt, a one man trip hop band and vocalist.<br />Relocating to Montpellier, France in 2002 the name Ghostown was chosen in hommage to the Specials<br />Culture Vulture was a home studio album between 2002 and 2004<br />After playing locally Rael started playing with Dj Kirsa then later on Baptizer (Guitar) the trio performed extensively around France up until 2009<br />Reflectionz was the fruit of this work<br />with guitars and turntablism featuring heavily.<br />5 years later Spektah Gadjo (2013) was released, going in a more Tsigane inspired direction.<br />Another 5 year gap and now Shanksville is here, the third official album and continuing the themes of Spektah but also going back to a darker note more akin to Reflections.<br />Ghostown is a mixture of Trip Hop, late 90's Hip Hop, Dub + Electro, UK urban sounds with a Balkan and reggae influence and a touch of Tom Waits plus a splash of Brian Eno
