I am a 30 year old, married, mother of 3 children, 2 step-daughters(12yrs, 10yrs), one son (5yrs) I went to school for a career in human services. I began at Parent Provider connection in 2005 and am currently still there. My real passion is working out. After having my son I thought I would get back in to shape quickly after having him, but I was sadly mistaken. It wasn't because I wasn't trying, I was, everyday. I began going back to the gym 3 weeks after giving birth. I could't lose one pound. I never gave up, I went everyday for an hour and would run or do the stair stepper for an hour. I was un-happy with myself, I wore baggy t-shirts, sweat pants everyday.Everyday I walked in to the gym I asked myself, "why am I even doing this?" For 4 years I did this, I got down a couple pounds, but that was it! I noticed a fit club open house one night on facebook and decided I would go check it out. I ended up really enjoying the workout. An old friend was at the workout and said he was starting an Insanity challenge and I said I would do it....Really, I had nothing to lose! I had no idea what I was getting in to. We had to measure, meet once a week to workout and hold each other accountable. After 60 days of following the Insanity workout calendar I was down almost 30 pounds!!!!!! Wow! was shocked!! This actually worked! I was determined to help others do what I just did! I became a coach and now lead and coach challenge groups. I am happier than I have ever been and am in better shape now, more than I was before I had a baby!
