Kristin is on the Executive Development Faculty in the Schulich School of Business at York University in Toronto. She is the author of four books, including the award-winning book, Boring to Bravo: Proven Presentation Techniques to Engage, Involve, and Inspire Your Audiences to Action, a newspaper columnist and contributing author to myriad other team-based books and publications.<br />Kristin knows what it takes to lead, facilitate and participate on high performing teams. In addition to serving over two decades in the active and reserve United States Coast Guard, she served as President of the National Speakers Association (2010-11) and on the National Board (2005-2012). She also served as President of the Downtown Hampton (Virginia) Development Partnership (2001-2).<br />Kristin has achieved three of the highest designations available within each of her core competencies: Certified Speaking Professional (CSP); Certified Professional Facilitator (CPF); Certified Management Consultant (CMC).<br /><br />She is also certified to administer several assessment tools that assist people in determining their thinking styles, personality preferences and management effectiveness (MBTI®, Human Synergistics’ Group Styles Inventory™ and Organizational Culture® Inventory).
