The Andrea Doria sank 45 miles from Nantucket Island. The Greatest Sea Rescue in History includes an autobiography, survivor accounts, and complete scientific data to document exactly what happened surrounding the disaster. <br />For her research, publishing and speaking about ALIVE ON THE ANDREA DORIA and L’ULTIMA NOTTE DELL’ANDREA DORIA, Pierette received the prestigious Collegian Award from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences of Wayne State University, in Detroit, Michigan.
