Dr. Ahmed is the owner and operator of West County Pediatric Dentistry located in Ballwin, MO. Dr. Shahnaz B. Ahmed graduated from Indiana University School of Dentistry (IUSD) in 1999. After graduation she completed a one year General Practice Residency at Wishard Hospital in Indianapolis. In the year 2000, she joined a two year hospital and school based residency program in Pediatric Dentistry, at James Whitcomb Riley Hospital in Indianapolis graduating in 2002. <br /> <br />She continued to stay in Indianapolis for a year, working for Marion County Health Department providing pediatric dental care to the underserved children. In 2003, Dr. Ahmed moved back “home” to St. Louis. She worked at a local pediatric dental clinic before she decided to take on the venture of opening her own practice on April 4, 2007. <br /> <br />Dr. Ahmed is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA) and its component societies, the Missouri Dental Association (MDA), and the Greater St. Louis Dental Society (GSLDS). She serves as the editor of the GSLDS Magazine, The Dental Arch, where she brings a fresh perspective to dentistry in St. Louis and more! Dr. Ahmed is also a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) and it’s component society, the Missouri Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (MoAPD). Dr. Ahmed continues to serve on the cleft lip and palate team at Mercy Hospital lead by Dr. Jeffrey Marsh, a renowned pediatric plastic surgeon.
