A creative filmmaker, higher education lecturer and University College London alumna, with a Master’s Degree in Documentary By Practice from Royal Holloway University. <br /><br />Excellent editing and camera skills consolidated through 7 years of University sponsored projects and corporate work, including a published interview with the first woman ever to be nominated for an Academy Award for Best Direction: Lina Wertmüller. <br /><br />Valentina’s main areas of documentary research focus on the following themes: human rights, children’s health and wellbeing, women’s self-representation and gender roles and cinematic biographies. <br /><br />Her films have been screened at international venues including Italy, Holland, Slovenia and the United States.
