The US Food and Drug Administration will all but eliminate partially hydrogenated oils from the food supply by 2018, it was announced on Tuesday, almost a year and a half after the FDA first announced its intention to do so.br The FDA’s acting commissioner Stephen Ostroff said, “The FDA’s action on this major source of artificial trans fat demonstrates the agency’s commitment to the heart health of all Americans.
