Benghazi residents survey wreckage after attack on army checkpoint

ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)br br A group of protesters attacked an army check point on Friday (June 14) in the eastern Libyan city of Benghazi, burning army vehicles as they went.br br The group was marching through the streets of Benghazi before they attacked the checkpoint. There were no reported injuries.br br Six soldiers were also killed Saturday (June 15) in clashes between Libyan special forces and armed protesters outside a special forces base in the city.br br It was not immediately clear who the protesters were and if any had been killed.br br This not the first attack in Benghazi by armed groups.br br Last week at least 31 people were killed and 100 injured in clashes between armed protesters, eventually backed by special forces, and a militia in the city.
