President tries to calm Brazil demos

PLEASE NOTE: EDIT CONTAINS CONVERTED 4:3 MATERIALbr br Brazil's biggest city - packed with protesters for yet another night.br br This time an estimated 50, 000 turned out in Sao Paolo to voice their discontent.br br A television news vehicle and a police booth were set alight.br br There were some scuffles between protesters and police in what was otherwise a largely peaceful demonstration.br br Protests began with an outcry over a rise in bus fares.br br They've grown steadily into a wider backlash against other issues including poor public services, police violence and government corruption.br br The protesters say it's time for change.br br (SOUNDBITE)(Portuguese) PUBLIC WORKER LEONARDO MAURO SAYING:br br "We're here to improve this country at a crucial time, and with the principle of freedom we can achieve everything in this life."br br Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff on Tuesday sought to defuse the wave of protests.
