Hundreds of armed officers tried to secure the streets of Rio de Janeiro on Tuesday night, where nine people have been killed in a gun battle. The shootings took place following a protest. Brazilian authorities accuse a criminal gang of taking advantage of the demonstration to commit robberies. Al Jazeera's Adam Raney reports from Rio de Janeiro.
