Inductive Power Transfer (IPT®) uses an in-floor power supply with dedicated high frequency for wireless power transmission to independent Automatically Guided Vehicles (AGVs). No pits are required; two shallow channels are cut to contain the power and communications cables, then filled with epoxy and ground flush with the finished floor. The result is a quiet, virtually invisible conveyance that is easily changed to suit new requirements.
