Taking the Long View: How (Not) to Ruin the Eames Housebr Dwell on Design - LA Convention Centerbr Case Study House #8, aka the Eames House, and its 250-year plan, which maps out its preservation and restoration, will be the subject of a lively onstage discussion. The panel features Lucia Dewey Atwood, granddaughter of Charles and Ray Eames and cofounder of the Eames Foundation; Susan Macdonald of the Getty Conservation Institute, which is dedicated to preserving modernist icons; and Frank Escher of architectural firm Escher GuneWardena, which is aiding the process of preserving and protecting the Eames house for the next quarter millennium.
