What Amazon Doesn't Want Kindle Authors to Know

br br When you publish your eBook on Amazon's Kindle, you get to write a description for your book that will appear on the sales page. Did you know you could format this section with HTML? If you have tried, you'll notice that normal HTML doesn't work on Amazon and that's because they have their own special coding that they don't want you to know. br br In this video, I'm going to show you all of the tags and the special coding that you need to use in your book description on your sales page so that you can look extra professional and make it appear that even Amazon itself endorses your book! br br Amazon has actually made a major change to this recently. You can no longer do this through your KDP bookshelf. You can only do this through Amazon Author Central, so you must sign up with them and get an account there. This is because a lot of authors used the HTML hack to show pictures and embed videos that Amazon didn't want displayed on their site, so they took the ability away from everyone. br br But there's still a way to do it. You just have to show Amazon that you're a serious author with an Author Central account. br br However, there are some drawbacks to that. Such as: br -We can only use 2400 characters, which is about 400 words, unlike KDP bookshelf, which gives us 4000 characters and 700 words. br -We can only edit this through Author Central if we want to change or update any of this. br -Also, no pictures, embedded videos or URLs are permitted anymore.
