Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an inflammatory disease affecting the central nervous system. MS can be unpredictable, with symptoms varying dramatically from one person to another. They can be mild, such as numbness in limbs, or severe, including paralysis and blindness. The onset of the disease generally occurs among young adults, usually around the age of 30.
