Colorful, art-inspired collection by Lagerfeld for Chanel

(ROUGH CUT - NO REPORTER NARRATION)br br STORY: The runway for Chanel's SpringSummer 2014 Paris ready-to-wear show on Tuesday (October 1) was decked out as an art gallery, however, Karl Lagerfeld - who has spent 30 years at Chanel's helm - did not leave all the art on the walls. Though keeping in line with the classics that have made Chanel's reputation throughout the world, the collection also featured more modern shoulder-revealing gowns, short skirts and colorful patterns. With a series of kaleidoscopic print dresses inspired by brushstrokes, bright hues of raspberry, navy, bubble-gum pink and black and white were incorporated into a new take on the classic Chanel silhouette.
