Me playing the organ at St Patrick's Roman Catholic Church in Heath Town, Wolverhampton. br br The organ was first built in 1948 by the John Compton Organ Company Ltd of North Acton, London for the previous church building and dedicated by the Most Rev. J Masterson in memory of those who lost their lives in the two World Wars. Like most Compton built instruments, the organ is built on the extension principal with all pipework fully enclosed. In 1972 the present church building was opened as a result of the local area being redeveloped at the time and the organ was transferred to the new building where otherwise it remains in original condition.
