One week into the U.S. federal government shutdown and the affects are putting a damper on romance.br br Meet Adam and Joy- a couple who'd been planning their dream wedding at Yosimite National Park.br br You can imagine their disappointment when they learned the park would be closed.br br (SOUNDBITE) (English) JOY MILLER, SAYING:br br "When we heard that Yosemite was going to be closed on Monday, and our wedding was on Sunday, I cried for two days straight. Two days straight. It was devastating."br br (SOUNDBITE) (English) ADAM BROWN, SAYING:br br "Yeah, I didn't know what to think at first, I was in shock, I knew this meant everything to her, we'd been planning and saving for a whole year, and it was pretty devastating."br br But not all was lost for the couple. After hearing their story on the local news, some good Semaritians- democratic leaning good Samaritans- stepped up to lend a helping hand.
