In 2006, IECD and Malagasy association PROMES launched in Fianarantsoa the CERES program. The goal is to open education centers to facilitate the access to junior school for the rural youth. Every year, nearly 600 junior school students enroll in the CERES program. They receive comprehensive support that allowed them to achieve educational and personal fulfillment and – for the most deserving ones – to go to high school.
