Thousands of doctors and nurses have marched through Romania’s capital Bucharest calling for better salaries and working conditions.
They carried crosses and coffins to symbolise the death of the country’s health system.
Newly qualified doctors earn less than 200 euros a month.
The Romanian College of Doctors says around 3000 doctors leave every year to work abroad where they have better conditions.
