A 33-year-old woman may have unknowingly transported roughly 30 pounds of marijuana across the border into the US after the drugs were found magnetized to the undercarriage of her vehicle last Friday.
The woman lives in Mexico but commutes to her job in downtown San Diego. She arrived early at work and was sitting in her parked car when two unknown males approached her vehicle and began removing items from underneath. Reports said that the woman startled the men and they ran to a nearby black sedan and fled.
She called the police and officers arrived at the scene where they discovered six packages of marijuana had been attached to the undercarriage of the woman's vehicle using strong magnets.
