Ultraman Club: Kaijuu Dai Kessen! takes a new spin on the Ultraman franchise, by eschewing the standard One-on-one 2D battle style that was a standard in the Super Famicom titles and instead presenting a 2D platformer, much in the style of Capcom's works of the period. Five Ultramen from various series (mostly the early '60s and '70s-era series) combine in a distinctly chibi style to battle against similarly super-deformed monsters with flurries of punches, kicks, chops, and an array of energy projectile attacks.
