Find the best financial services for you at: SMARTFINANCESOLUTIONS.NET - Bankruptcy...I need some advice!? - My husband & I have decided that the only solution to getting out of debt that we got into at a young age is to file Chapter 7 bankruptcy. We are not proud of it & hate the thought of it but we have 2 children now that we want to be able to comfortably provide for and with all of the bills we have, it makes everything alot harder. Our children don't go without anything by any means, we've just had to put alot on credit cards. I've spoken with my attorney but forgot to ask him what will happen if we are filing on a loan that has a car listed as collateral. We no longer have the vehicle because of a car accident that my husband had in it on the way to work. We notified the agency as soon as it happened & they didn't say anything about us owing them anymore because the car was gone but I'm not sure how that will be handled if we don't have the car that they have the lien against when we file??? I live in the state of KY if anyone knows anything then it would be very helpful.
P.S I know bankruptcy isn't a good thing to do, I'm beating myself up enough about it so I really don't need any hateful answers. We have to do whats best for our family, whether we like it or not. -
