Our family came from Vietnam 6 years ago and reside in USA ever since. We were move to USA without any experience background about how to survive in a new world like paid bills, housing, financials, or applied for school, basic needs and wants, etc. and we didnt know anyone or contact someone to help us. Then, we received alot of help from a man name Nick Lee when we first came here. He live with my family for last 5 years as my mom's boyfriend and helped our family alot in paid bills, financial, and housing. He applied many credicts card under my mom name, asked her to sign her signature with out any clear explaination. Because my mom relied on him for help us, she didnt know he used her and willingly to sign. He build it up then secretly used her name to borrow a large sump of money for his own ultilities. Everytime my mom asked him about her credict, he always refuse to explain to her and said he borrow money to paid bills in the house and for our family needs. My mom cant against him or stopping him to stop use her name to borrow money that she didnt even use. She didnt even held a single credict card that he apllied many before. Then my mom figure out that he used the money borrow under my mom name over 10000 dollars that we didnt even know of. He even gave and advice(tricked) to my mom to sign an bankruptcy so she didnt have to complain anymore, but my mom made a wise decision that she didnt. And now he left our family, and take all his paper works, bills and everything. He left without any notice(which is fine by us), but the problem is he took everything, and now our family is in danger because my mom and me have no idea about any bills or money my mom non-officially owned. Our house or our car could be towed away at any moment, because he didnt paid the mortgage for last few months and we have no idea when the nightmare will happen to us. When that happen, we got nothing but ourself. No help(because we didnt know how to ask for help from anyone), no money, nothing, we will be left in the street with an over 10000 dollars owned. I scare that my mom willl put in jail one day for the money she owned but didnt know how to paid them if she apptemp to or know she all the money she owned from. Now my mom and me try to figure out everything to prevent that happen, but we didnt have any clear idea that how much we own for the bills, how to paid them or what is the next step we need to do.
