He is an economist who obtained his doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania. He has worked as Equity Strategist for Morgan Stanley and as economist at the Bank of Canada. He is currently investment manager of the Oracle Fund (Oracle of Investing Fund LP). In his youth he won 1st Place in the National Mathematics Olympiad, 2nd Place in the same olympiad, and 3rd Place in the National Physics Olympiad. He has won other awards such as the British Columbia Provincial Scholarship.
