Getting a good night's sleep can be essential for brain health, according to Swedish researchers who discovered that depriving healthy young individuals of a night's sleep increased blood concentrations of brain molecules to levels observed in brain damage. The researchers, from Uppsala University, report their findings in the online journal SLEEP.
