Pakistan blast derails train, kills five

EDITORS PLEASE NOTE: THIS EDIT CONTAINS MATERIAL WHICH WAS ORIGINALLY 4:3br br At least five people were killed and at least 25 others injured on Sunday (February 16) after a blast on a railway track near Kashmore in the restive Sindh province derailed three carriages of the Khushal Khan Khattak express, local media reported.br br The train was on its way from Karachi, capital of Sindh province, to Peshawar in northwest Pakistan.br br Television channels showed local people gathered around the derailed carriages, trying to rescue people trapped inside.br br At least 4 children were among the dead pulled out of the train, media reported. Many injured children were also pulled out of the wreckage.br br Police said the explosion was due to a bomb placed next to the track. So far no one has claimed responsibility.br br The blast comes two weeks after an explosion on tracks near Karachi derailed eight carriages of a passenger train, killing one girl.
