The Japanese American man suspected of being the mind behind Bitcoin digital currency denies any involvement.

On Thursday, Newsweek magazine published a story that said the suspected multi-millionaire 'father' of bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto, lived in Temple City, California -- and it included a photo.

Nakamoto is a name well known to bitcoin traders around the world, but he's largely remained ananymous.

Bitcoin is a digital currency that, unlike conventional money, is bought and sold on a peer-to-peer network.

In recent weeks, bitcoin's value has been put into question following the bankruptcy filing by major bitcoin exchange Mt. Gox.
